A used smartphone saves you a lot of money without settling for an outdated model. You'll find, for example, iPhone 14 to iPhone 17 including Pro and Pro Max, iPhone Air, 16e, 17e and SE (2022), plus Samsung Galaxy from the S23 on (including Plus, Ultra and FE) and Galaxy Z Fold or Z Flip. Vad ska du tänka på när du köper en begagnad mobil?

Battery, storage and software support matter most. Battery capacity drops with every charge cycle, so a healthy battery counts for more than the release year. Be generous with storage: neither iPhones nor Galaxy S models from the S23 on nor the foldable Z models have a memory card slot, and 128 GB is a good starting point for most people. Apple and Samsung update their phones for many years, so a newer model stays current for longer. On the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, the slight crease in the middle of the screen is part of the design. The iPhone Air is eSIM-only, so check that your network supports eSIM.

The condition grade (Like new, Very good, Good, Fair) only describes looks; technically, every device goes through the same tests. “Very good” or “Good” often saves you a fair bit, and the real photos in the listing show you exactly what you'll get.

Is it worth buying a used smartphone?
For most people, yes. You pay much less than for a new model and often get almost the same technology – and our phones are often barely used. What matters is a tested phone that will still get updates for a few years. And no new device has to be made.
What battery health is good on a used phone?
As a rule of thumb, a battery at around 80% of its original capacity or more gets most people through the day. On an iPhone you'll find the value under Settings > Battery; our battery health guide shows how to check it on a Galaxy. With us, every smartphone's battery is checked before sale.
How much storage do I need?
128 GB covers messaging, photos and a handful of apps for most people. If you shoot a lot of 4K video or install games, go for 256 GB or more. Storage can't be expanded with a card on our iPhones and Galaxy phones, so if in doubt, pick one tier higher. Every listing states the storage size.
