How we test every device

Every used device goes through four steps. You’ll find the result, its condition grade, in the listing.

  1. Step 1

    Function

We check everything the device should do: display, battery, buttons, cameras and connectivity, depending on the model.

  2. Step 2

    Looks & condition

We check the casing and the screen and give one of four condition grades.

  3. Step 3

    Factory reset

We reset the device to factory settings. You can set it up your way from day one.

  4. Step 4

    Listing

Only then do we list it on eBay or Vinted, with its grade, photos and a description.

What do “Like new”, “Very good”, “Good” and “Fair” mean?

They all pass the same tests – the grade only describes the looks. Pick the one that suits you.

Questions about testing and grades

Still unsure? There are more answers on our help page. Go to Help & contact

Is every device really tested?
Yes. We test every device before we sell it, regardless of model or condition grade. Only then do we list it on eBay or Vinted.
What’s the difference between “Like new” and “Very good”?
With “Like new”, no signs of use are visible. “Very good” means minimal signs that you usually only notice on close inspection. Both are tested in exactly the same way.
Is a device in “Fair” condition tested less thoroughly?
No. The condition grade only describes the looks; every device goes through the same test. With “Fair”, you accept clearly visible signs of use, not a shorter check.
What if a tested device develops a fault later?
Message us on WhatsApp (the form on the “Warranty & returns” page prepares it for you), with your order number and a short description. The statutory warranty applies: it covers defects present on delivery, and defects that appear within the first 12 months after delivery are presumed to have been present then. Drops, liquid damage and normal battery wear are not covered.
Where can I buy the tested devices?
Only on eBay and Vinted, in our eBay shop and on our Vinted profile. Each listing shows the condition grade, the description and photos.
Am I protected when I buy?
Yes. You buy with eBay’s or Vinted’s buyer protection under their terms. Condition, photos, shipping and returns are stated in each listing, and the device is already tested before you buy it.
